Q)Why should somebody hire a consultant??
A)Because he is intelligent enough not to join your company!!!

That sums up the work of a consultant!!!The job tells you why you didnt/hadnt/shouldnt/wouldnt join a company.
And coming to the definition of work.....I always used to wonder what work was......and reaching deep down inside me, i found that work is a universal concept......the definition in physics pretty much stands true for all work......
"Work is the force acting upon an object to cause displacement". You need to apply force to make people move. This force displaces lots of other things too like hair, hairline, waistline and pretty much everything under the sun.....It is just that force here could be external and internal......and before this post leads me to designing a management framework, i shall get back to much more mundane and important things like work!!!
